We have partnered with a large real estate and building company in the Ashburn, VA area to provide them with a Civil Engineer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized must haves for the Civil Engineer:

#1. Minimum of 1 year experience in engineering residential site design

#2. Proficient in AutoCAD

#3. Proficient in Microsoft office products

Responsibilities for the Civil Engineer:

  • Report directly to the Director of Land Development and Engineering and the Director of Engineering.
  • Will be expected to complete essential engineering functions related to building permitting and land development.
  • Provide support in review and management of site plans, record plats and outside engineering firms.
  • Prepare conceptual computations, reports, and plans for: Concept Development, Fine Grading, Storm Drain & Paving, Stormwater Management, Erosion & Sediment Control, Maintenance of Traffic, Pavement Markings & Signage, Water & Sewer, and Floodplain Study.
  • Complete Overlot Grading Plans for building permit submission.
  • Review wall checks and cut sheets for home construction.
  • Provide engineering support to sales and operations teams including house fit matrices, review of plans with sales managers and exhibits.
  • Responsible for file management and dissemination of new plans and plats.

Requirements for the Civil Engineer:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in engineering residential site design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products

Other Key Requirements:

  • Hybrid schedule
  • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
