Senior Backend Developer Casino & Online Gaming

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer with 8+ years of experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in backend architecture, API development, and database optimization. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining missioncritical backend services, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services for the gaming platform. 
• Architect and maintain APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Ensure efficient data handling and storage with PostgreSQL, optimizing queries and database structures.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Develop high-performance transaction processing systems.
• Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers to build seamless integrations.
• Develop and maintain WebSockets for real-time communication.
• Implement and manage message queues for asynchronous processing.
• Build and optimize microservices architecture for scalability and performance.
• (Optional) Work with Cloudflare Workers for distributed services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and Express.js.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and high-throughput backend services.
• Experience with authentication protocols like OAuth, JWT, API keys.
• Knowledge of security best practices in backend development.
• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS) for
  distributed processing.
• Experience with microservices architecture and service-to-service com-munication.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize performance in ahigh-load environment.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior developers. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with casino or gaming industry backend development.
  
• Knowledge of Cloudflare Workers for edge computing.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and message queues.
• Experience with Temporal for workflow orchestration.
