On behalf of our client, we are looking for a highly skilled and creative Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the clubs social media presence, driving engagement, and ensuring that our content resonates with fans both locally and globally. This role involves creating, curating, and publishing content across various platforms, collaborating with internal teams to support marketing and commercial goals, and staying at the forefront of social media trends to keep the clubs online presence innovative and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy:
    Lead the ongoing development and execution of the clubs social media strategy in collaboration with the Press Officer and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor all of the clubs social media channels, ensuring content is up to date, engaging, and aligned with the clubs brand.
  • Content Creation and Management:
    Create and publish daily content across the clubs social media platforms, including organic, branded, sponsored, marketing, and communications content.
  • Develop innovative and dynamic ideas for social media, with a strong focus on video and graphics, to increase engagement and grow the clubs follower base.
  • Work with internal and external teams, including Content, Graphics, Commercial, and Marketing, to produce and deliver branded content and campaigns.
  • Matchday and Event Coverage:
    Provide live social media coverage for matchdays, including home and away games, across all competitions, including the Cyprus league, European, and Academy matches.
  • Capture real time content, ensuring timely and appropriate posts that resonate with fans.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Collaborate with various departments within the club to ensure cohesive and strategic content delivery that supports wider club objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with national, regional, and local media to enhance the clubs media presence.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    Monitor social media stats, including player and staff posts, to ensure compliance with relevant bodies and maintain a high standard of content.
  • Utilize social analytics tools to measure and report on content performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Innovation and Best Practices:
    Stay updated on social media trends, competitor activities, and innovative content practices to keep Peyia 2014 FC at the forefront of social media engagement.
  • Contribute to the clubs broader digital strategy, ensuring a high standard of digital and social media output.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management, particularly in a sports or entertainment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and WhatsApp.
  • Experience with social media logistics platforms for scheduling, approving, publishing, tagging, and reporting.
  • Excellent content creation skills, with a focus on video and graphics, using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere), Tellyo/Grabyo, and Opta Match Graphics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make confident decisions in real time situations.
  • Strong editorial judgment and collaborative working skills, particularly in cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen eye for detail.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of football, including familiarity with Peyia 2014 FCs squads, players, managers, and coaching staff.
  • Experience in engaging with diverse audiences and maintaining an inclusive approach to content creation and fan interaction.
