About the job Head of Facilities Management
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Facilities to oversee the management and maintenance of our facilities. In this role, you will ensure that our facilities are operating efficiently and effectively to support our organization's mission and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of our facilities, including buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles
- Develop and implement facilities management plans, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Manage and supervise facilities staff, including maintenance technicians and custodial staff
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including capital expenditures and operating expenses
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities are meeting the needs of the organization
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for outsourced services
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce our environmental impact
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, including experience in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Strong understanding of facilities management best practices and standards
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and vendor management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and initiatives preferred
