Job Description:
- The Baker Consultant must specialize in long fermentations, high hydration, breads, European and Japanese style, modern Danish pastries, and croissant-style breads.
- The Baker Consultant will work closely with the Head of Research and Development of the bakery from the place of residency. Weekly video meetings with the head of research and development, with a minimum duration of two hours, will be scheduled to work on research and development of new products and improving current products. The R&D workshop will be equipped with a camera and screen to facilitate such video conferences while working at the workshop, for the consultant to advise on techniques and methods in real time.
- The Baker Consultant will have to visit headquarters in Beijing quarterly, and for the duration of one week each visit, to conduct quality control audits, conduct in-site trainings, advise on product displays, cost control, waste reduction, and inventory management strategies. These jobs will also be done remotely.
- The Baker Consultant will also provide guidance on the layout and design of new outlets for optimal workflow and customer experience, as part of his or her scope of work.
- Advise on marketing strategies to promote bakery products.
- Assist with customer service strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

- Job Title: Remote Baker Consultant
- Work Environment: From the place of residency. Sending recipes, methods of production and all necessary information online. Once a week, two-hour-long video meetings with the Head of Research and Development at the workshop to try new recipes and train techniques and production methods.
- One quarterly travel to Beijing, where the headquarters and workshop of the bakery is located, will be required, and for the duration of one week (2 days of traveling and 5 days of work). Travel expenses economic fare and budget hotel accommodation will be covered by the company.
- Reporting Structure: Reports to the Culinary Director, Executive Chef of the F&B Group
- Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
