Chef de Partie - Fine-Casual Dining Restaurant, Saudi Arabia

Position Overview:

We are searching for a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join a renowned fine-casual dining restaurant in Saudi Arabia. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our lively kitchen, assisting in recipe perfection, contributing to menu innovation, and executing plate design with finesse. This role is perfect for those looking to excel in a dynamic culinary setting, helping to drive the highest of standards and inspire the kitchen team alongside the Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Kitchen Operations:

  • Assist in overseeing and streamlining kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to the restaurant's quality standards.
  • Aid in maintaining a clean, organized, compliant kitchen environment in alignment with Saudi food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Support inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Contribute to scheduling kitchen staff to ensure optimal operations.

Contribute to Recipe Development:

  • Help innovate and design new menu items under the guidance of the Executive Chef, contributing to the restaurants culinary vision.
  • Participate in refining and improving recipes for better flavor, presentation, and efficiency.

Production and Quality Control:

  • Assist in establishing and monitoring production standards, ensuring all dishes meet or exceed the restaurant's quality guidelines.
  • Participate in regular taste-testing to maintain flavor profiles and consistency across dishes.

Plating and Presentation:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of creative and visually appealing plating techniques.
  • Train junior kitchen staff on plating standards and presentation techniques.

Team Development and Leadership Support:

  • Provide support to the Executive Chef in recruiting, training, and mentoring kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Set an example of excellence in work ethic, passion for culinary arts, and meticulous attention to detail.

Assist in Budget and Cost Management:

  • Help manage kitchen budgets, food and labor costs, and general financial goals in collaboration with the Executive Chef and management.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising food quality.

Enhance Guest Experience:

  • Work alongside front-of-house teams to guarantee seamless service and heightened guest satisfaction.
  • Be open to engaging with guests, providing insights into dish inspirations and welcoming feedback.

Market Adaptation:

  • Support menu development that aligns with local preferences while retaining an appeal to international diners.
  • Keep abreast of culinary trends within the Saudi dining landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role within casual fine dining, upscale casual, or luxury hospitality environments.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting recipe development, kitchen operations, and plating techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and detail orientation under pressure.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is beneficial.
