Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Director (HRD) to lead the HR function for a small yet ambitious restaurant group in China. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fine dining standards, a proven ability to manage large teams, and a passion for fostering a vibrant company culture. This role is instrumental in aligning our HR practices with our company values, controlling labor costs, and building a motivated and high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Company Culture Development
- Cultivate and reinforce the companys culture through regular training and engagement initiatives.
- Conduct consistent workshops and periodic cultural refresh sessions to ensure alignment across the team.
- Bilingual Communication
- Facilitate seamless communication between Chinese and English-speaking stakeholders, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding in both languages.
- Labor Cost Management
- Implement and oversee efficient labor cost control strategies.
- Develop and enforce a comprehensive reward and disciplinary system that is transparent and effective.
- Talent Development
- Plan and share career pathways for team members, identifying and nurturing high-potential individuals.
- Communicate a compelling vision to retain and inspire key talent.
- Operational Expertise
- Leverage experience from both standalone restaurants and hotel groups to drive best practices.
- Recruit and assess candidates, particularly chefs and fine dining service staff, against high industry standards.
- Leadership and Team Management
- Provide strategic HR leadership for a team exceeding 100 members, if applicable.
- Build strong relationships with senior management to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with business goals.
- Problem Solving and Integrity
- Address challenges proactively with innovative, flexible, and honest solutions.
- Serve as a reliable advisor for both leadership and employees, promoting trust and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Languages: Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Industry Background: Extensive experience in fine dining and hospitality, with a solid understanding of high service and chef recruitment standards.
- HR Expertise: Proven track record in labor cost control, reward systems, and employee engagement strategies.
- Leadership Experience: Prior experience managing teams of 100+ employees is highly desirable.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and an unwavering commitment to honesty and integrity.
