Job Summary:

The Director of Learning and Development (Holistic Education) manages daily operations and leads a team of staff in the Education department. This role involves developing and delivering holistic education programs in line with the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategy. The Head of Education reports directly to the Executive Director and is a member of the Management Team.

Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, deliver, and evaluate holistic education programs.
Prepare the annual budget and 5-year financial plan for the Education department.
Facilitate collaboration between departments.
Recruit, train, develop, and assist staff on projects and provide feedback.
Represent the organization at conferences and symposia.
Oversee the creation of education program documents, web pages, and other materials.
Be an effective spokesperson in the media on holistic education issues.

Requirements:

Degree in Holistic Education, experiential education, nature education, education for sustainability.
10+ years of relevant experience in an educational institution, including a leadership role.
Managerial experience in developing, facilitating, and marketing transformative education programs, retreats, and learning events that reconnect people with nature.
Excellent people management skills to lead a team in a flat management structure.
Passionate about nurturing a culture of learning and deep connection with nature among staff and volunteer communities.
Good command of English
