Executive Chef

Cutting Edge Recruitment is working with a leading hospitality group in Taiwan on a confidential search for an Executive Chef to lead the kitchen of one of its flagship fine-dining restaurants in Taipei.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Chinese chef with a strong background in Sichuan cuisine to take responsibility for an established, high-profile restaurant and lead its next stage of culinary development.

We are looking for a chef with excellent technical foundations in Chinese cuisine, genuine depth in Sichuan cooking, and the leadership ability to run a high-performing kitchen at an international fine-dining standard.

The Role:

As Executive Chef, you will take overall responsibility for the restaurant's culinary operation, including:

• Leading and developing the kitchen team.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Developing and refining menus while respecting the restaurant's culinary identity.
• Managing kitchen systems, standards, food safety and cost control
• Working closely with senior management on the continued development of the restaurant.
• Creating a disciplined, professional kitchen culture and developing the chefs within the team.

Who We're Looking For:

You may currently be an Executive Chef, Head Chef or highly accomplished Sous Chef ready to step into a larger leadership role.

You should bring:

• Strong professional experience in Sichuan cuisine.
• Excellent foundations in traditional Chinese cooking techniques.
• Experience in fine dining, luxury hotels or other high-standard restaurant environments.
• Proven kitchen leadership and team-management ability.
• Strong attention to quality, consistency and detail.
• The confidence to lead an established culinary operation while continuing to develop it.
• A collaborative and professional leadership style.

Experience working internationally or within Michelin-recognised restaurants would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in exceptional chefs whose experience demonstrates the required culinary ability and leadership.

The Opportunity

This is a senior culinary appointment with an ambitious hospitality group and an opportunity to lead a prestigious restaurant in one of Asia's most exciting food cities.

The position is based in Taipei and will initially be offered on a two-year contract under Taiwan law. Relocation support can be discussed with suitable candidates.
