Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Backend Data Specialist with strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Windows environment scripting. In this role, you will help design, optimize, and maintain backend data workflows while interacting with sensitive healthcare data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate processes, perform data analysis, and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development & Automation: Build, maintain, and optimize Python scripts and backend systems for data processing, system automation, and data analysis.
• Database Management: Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines to handle large healthcare datasets efficiently.
• Environment & Shell Scripting: Develop and maintain automation workflows within a Windows environment using Windows Shell (PowerShell / Command Line).
• Compliance & Documentation: Review, understand, and apply relevant healthcare regulations to ensure system compliance and data integrity. Thoroughly document technical findings, workflows, and process changes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to report insights, troubleshoot issues, and align project goals.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• Python Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Python for backend development, task automation, and data manipulation/analysis.
• Strong SQL Knowledge: Deep understanding of relational databases, query optimization, indexing, and data warehousing principles.
• Windows Shell Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Windows environment scripting (PowerShell / Batch) for task scheduling and system operations.
• Regulatory Compliance & Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and enforce healthcare regulations and data privacy rules (e.g., HIPAA).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of clear technical documentation and team collaboration.
