Job (Project) Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Business Analyst to join our client's team within a global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences environment. 

In this role, you will use Databricks, Power BI, and Medallion Architecture, helping translate complex business needs into scalable data solutions. You will work directly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality analytical assets that support scientific, commercial, and operational decision-making.

This is a role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate confidently in client-facing settings.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in data-centric environments;
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, including data transformations and working with Lakehouse/Medallion Architecture;
  • Strong expertise in Power BI for analytics and visualization;
  • Proven experience working in client-facing roles, managing expectations, presenting findings, and leading technical/business discussions;
  • Experience producing detailed project documentation, including data transformation documents, specifications, and business rules;
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance practices;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences;
  • English: excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, data transformation documents, and process flows;
  • Work closely with data engineers and BI developers to design and implement data pipelines, models, and analytical layers following Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) best practices;
  • Support end-to-end Databricks-based data transformation initiatives, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reusability across the organization;
  • Deliver highly intuitive Power BI dashboards and analytics that support clinical, commercial, and operational business units;
  • Define and execute data validation and data quality procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of datasets;
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights, recommendations, and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices in data governance, compliance, and quality standards;
  • Produce comprehensive data project documentation, including:

- Data transformation documents

- Mapping specifications

- Data dictionaries

- KPI definitions and reporting logic
