Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our clients Residential Home team in the Dinnington area of Rotherham. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with other staff members to implement care plans and support the daily activities of our residents in a care home environment. Your leadership and supervisory skills will be essential in fostering a positive atmosphere for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.

Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote a collaborative approach to care.

Monitor the health and well-being of residents, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Maintain accurate records of care provided and participate in regular reviews of care plans.

Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.

Administer Medication to residents

Experience

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective care plans.

Competent in Medication Administration and problem solving

Strong leadership skills with experience supervising staff in a care setting.

Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with residents and their families.

A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.

Working Pattern

You will be working as a night senior on a rota basis with contracted hours.

Wk1 3 nights and wk2 4 nights on a rolling week by week pattern. For example, Wk1 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Wk2 Mon, Tues, Sat and Sun.
