About the job Cell Culture Technician
Key Responsibilities include:
Periodic travel to cell sourcing locations and transportation of cells to Cultura Biofoundry
Maintenance of mammalian & non-mammalian animal cell cultures
Execute cellular biology work including sample preparation, analysis, quantification, purification & sequencing
Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, chemicals and instruments
Meticulously follow experimental & routine protocols, inquiring with leadership when steps are not clear
Maintain strong laboratory organization and detailed records
Organize data results and share findings with team & leadership
Work closely with other researchers to adapt to project & research needs
Job Requirements:
Associate or bachelor degree in life sciences or 2+ years of experience in a life science role
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities & qualifications:
Demonstrated competence and hands-on experience in cellular biology research techniques and methodologies
Demonstrated ability to multitask, work in a dynamic and diverse project environment, and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to perform operations and maintenance tasks independently
Organizational skills and ability to maintain a detailed laboratory notebook
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to record data in a manner consistent with ALCOA (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original and Accurate) principles
Works well on defined tasks
High degree of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or similar
