The opportunity:
Our client is a Singapore headquartered Fintech operating regionally across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia and is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution under the Payment Services Act.
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, your mission is to ensure that the client's day-to-day operations remain compliant with government regulations and the group’s risk appetite. You’ll oversee customer onboarding, KYC, CDD, and transaction monitoring, all whilst delivering the best possible user experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning day-to-day compliance tasks, reviewing customer onboarding documents, transaction monitoring red flags, or other processes related to mitigating fraud or financial crime.
- Conducting investigations and escalation of suspicious activity to the Compliance Manager, as well as filing Suspicious Transactions reports with the regulator when appropriate.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to innovate and improve customer experience, while staying compliant.
- Developing and training on company risk management policies and procedures to ensure the information is communicated and continuously adhered to.
- Being on top of pending industry changes, trends, and best practices to assess the potential impact of these changes on organisational processes.
What you will bring to the table:
- Minimally 3 years of compliance and KYC experience, ideally in roles with AML / CTF exposure.
- Experience in a regulated financial institution of a FinTech company or financial institution.
- A proven track record to be detail-orientated and effectively manage time and deadlines.
- Preferably, Compliance certification (ACAMS/ICA).
- Excellent communication skills and ability in English.
