Qualifications & Experience
To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience: As a Truck Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic.
• Trade certification: Relevant and certified qualifications.
• Knowledge of Japanese trucks: Highly advantageous.
• HR licence: Desirable but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and quick-thinking skills.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• A high degree of integrity and a commitment to safety.
• Outstanding customer service and rapport-building capabilities.
• The ability to mentor and coach apprentices and trainees.

What You'll Do
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting and repairing diesel-engine vehicles.
• Safely operating tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment.
• Performing routine repairs like oil and tyre changes.
• Accurately interpreting diagnostic test results.
• Creating and explaining detailed inspection reports and repair plans to customers.
• Advising customers on repair options and costs.
• Training and mentoring apprentices and junior staff.
• Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborating with other mechanics to achieve service excellence.
