Heavy Equipment Technician 

Full-Time | $45$55/hr + Overtime | Sponsorship Available for Qualified Candidates - Multiple Locations Across Australia

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians, Crane Technicians, Diesel Mechanics, and Maintenance Technicians to join respected employers across Queensland, New South Wales, and Western Australia.

These are full-time roles supporting critical industries such as construction, resources, and mining. Opportunities are available in both workshop and field service environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, repair and maintain a range of mobile equipment including cranes, heavy diesel vehicles, and plant machinery
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Conduct inspections, pre-hire checks, and scheduled maintenance in line with Australian Standards
  • Perform fault finding and breakdown support either independently or as part of a team
  • Adhere to safety procedures and complete job documentation accurately

Requirements

  • Relevant Trade Qualification (e.g. Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Auto Electrician)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Manual Australian Drivers Licence
  • High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, EWP, Crane, Working at Heights) preferred
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug screening

Offer

  • Hourly rate between $45 and $55, depending on experience
  • Additional penalty rates for overtime and site conditions
