The Role

This site-based Diesel Mechanic role is based at a workshop on a major mining site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduled Servicing & Repairs: Maintain Caterpillar mining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Air-Conditioning Repairs: Maintain and repair air-conditioning systems to ensure operational comfort.
  • Breakdown Response: Deliver swift solutions to minimise downtime and keep operations on track.

In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, your mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills will be highly valued.

What Were Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and skilled professional who thrives in a team environment. Key requirements include:

Qualifications & Licenses:

  • Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate with at least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Automotive Air-Conditioning License.
  • Valid Drivers License.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong diagnostic capabilities with Caterpillar mining equipment.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work independently and uphold high standards of workmanship
