About the Role
H&M Drilling Australia is seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer / HR Truck Driver to join their team based in Cranbourne South, Victoria.
This role is suited to someone with experience driving trucks who is also comfortable performing physical labour on-site. The successful candidate will be required to attend the Cranbourne South yard each morning, drive the truck to the job site, and then assist with labouring duties and vacuum truck operations.
The role will generally require working away from home from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on project requirements. Some local work may also be available from time to time. Accommodation is provided when working away, along with a living away from home allowance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the truck from the Cranbourne South yard to various job sites.
- Assist with labouring duties once on-site.
- Operate and support vacuum truck operations.
- Maintain the truck in a clean and presentable condition, both inside and out.
- Follow site procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Communicate clearly with the team using radios.
- Work flexibly, as schedules and site requirements may change at short notice.
- Work away from home during the week when required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum HR licence.
- Previous truck driving experience.
- Physically fit and able to perform labouring duties.
- Reliable, hardworking and flexible.
- Able to work away from home, usually Monday to Friday.
- Clear spoken English, as radio communication is required.
- Willingness to keep the truck clean and well maintained.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and site requirements.
Working Conditions
- Average of approximately 55 hours per week.
- Overtime paid after 40 hours, capped at 1.5x the hourly rate.
- One RDO per month, subject to team agreement and business requirements.
- The RDO is not a fixed day and may be attached to a long weekend or taken during quieter periods.
- Working away from home is required, with accommodation provided and a $110 per night allowance.
