As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a talented Assistant Construction Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continuing success.
Job Description: As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success and cost-effectiveness of our construction projects. You will work closely with the M.D. to assist in cost estimation, budget management, and procurement activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious assistant QS looking to progress their career in within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing materials and suppliers.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to monitor and manage project costs.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts and subcontractor agreements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and measurement of works.
- Prepare financial reports and project progress summaries.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quantity surveying.
Qualifications
- Experience in full time employment in a construction quantity surveying role
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (Microsoft Office)
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
