A leading M&E Building Services contractor based in Staffordshire, are recruiting for a Mechanical HVAC Estimator to join their successful team. This is a family run business, established for over 50 years with a great reputation, resulting in lots of repeat business from clients.

Job Overview:

My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical (HVAC) Estimator to join their team. As the successful candidate, you will have a strong background in estimating for HVAC projects and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience of estimating on healthcare projects would be and advantage although not essential. Typical project values will be between £5k & £5m.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions

- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and identify potential cost savings

- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services

- Create and maintain a database of cost information for future use

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in pricing for materials and services

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating for HVAC projects

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components

- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications

- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
