Lead and oversee the regional implementation and operational delivery of Our Clients Livelihoods Program, designed to equip youth with workplace skills, empowering them to secure gainful employment in the organized sector.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Strategize and lead effective management of all Livelihood programs across the North region, including online and center-based youth skilling initiatives. Ensure targeted enrollments, maintain high-quality training, and track job placements and retention.
- Team Leadership: Provide senior leadership to regional livelihoods staff, overseeing high-quality delivery of need assessments, career counseling, skills training, mentoring, job placements, and post-placement support for youth.
- Performance Monitoring: Manage program implementation in the region, oversee monitoring and evaluation, deliver performance reports to stakeholders, and manage the regional Livelihood program budget.
- Partnership Development: Establish partnerships with vocational training institutes and specialized organizations to support youth progressions into work or further education.
- Employer Relations: Forge strategic partnerships with regional employers, secure attractive job opportunities, and promote employer-centric models that incorporate the workplace skills needed for various sectors such as retail and hospitality.
- Staff Training & Development: Collaborate with the regional program team to ensure livelihoods staff are equipped with the necessary tools, skills, and knowledge for delivering employability skills training, mentoring, placements, and youth support.
- Project Accountability: Take full accountability for implementation, adherence to project indicators, and achievement of outcomes. Ensure quality inputs and maintain rigorous monitoring.
- Program Alignment: Implement and communicate national updates to the Livelihood program within the region.
- Issue Management: Identify and address issues, opportunities, and risks that may impact program success within the region.
- Market Research: Conduct regional research to assess youth needs, job demand, and trends in employment and training.
- Representation: Represent Our Client in regional interactions with funders, partners, and external audiences regarding the Livelihoods program.
- Entrepreneurial Support: Develop methods and partnerships that encourage youth to pursue self-employment and entrepreneurial pathways.
- Education Pathways: Build partnerships with colleges, universities, and government training schemes to provide diverse education options for youth pursuing further studies or training.
- Youth Safety and Equity: Ensure that all youth-related work by Our Client and its partners is safe, equitable, and adheres to Child/Youth Protection protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferred a Masters degree in Management, Social Work, or a related field in Social Sciences.
- Experience: 18-20 years in the social sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing youth development and skilling programs. Proven performance in similar roles and stability in previous positions is an advantage. Familiarity with the North region is desirable.
- Senior Corporate Executives with a Sales or Large Account Management leadership role keen to move into development sector is desirable.
