Role Overview:
Our Client seeks a Chief Operating Officer to lead its impact-driven educational programs. These programs aim to provide high-quality skilling opportunities to a diverse range of students, from young children in government village schools to college students and job seekers across India.
The COO will oversee the institute's operations, guide strategic initiatives, and ensure the scalable delivery of effective, impactful programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop detailed plans for each impact program, in alignment with the Executive Committee and Board directives, and communicate these plans to program teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly review key performance metrics and quality indicators across programs, implementing preventive and corrective measures as needed.
- Program Innovation: Identify and drive changes to improve program efficiency, relevance, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
- Program Management: Oversee program design, development, and execution, ensuring quality and consistency in program delivery.
- Technology Integration: Champion the adoption of technology in educational delivery to enhance learning outcomes.
- Faculty Management: Oversee recruitment, training, assessment, and management of faculty.
- Student Placements: Manage placement processes to ensure students secure relevant employment opportunities.
- Campus Operations: Oversee the Hubballi campus and future locations, ensuring efficient management of residential facilities and program operations.
- Scaling Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies for expanding skill development programs across India.
- Quality Assurance: Establish systems to monitor and ensure the quality of content delivery, teaching, and program impact.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with program partners, funding agencies, and government bodies to strengthen program support and impact.
Candidate Requirements:
- Masters degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related area is preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years in leadership roles or operations management is required preferably in a large Non-profit environment.
- Experience in managing skill development institutions, large educational programs, or learning academies is highly desirable.
- Exposure/ knowledge of program design, curriculum development, instructional design, and quality assurance processes within education.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse range of regional and international stakeholders effectively.
- Skilled in budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis, with an emphasis on maintaining operational efficiency.
