About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting product development, technical sales, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes for industrial valve products serving the oil & gas and refinery sectors.
This role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, hands-on design aptitude, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and sales functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and product recommendations related to valve selection, materials, and application requirements.
- Prepare quotations, technical clarifications, and engineering documentation for customers.
- Perform valve sizing calculations and develop technical data sheets according to industry standards.
- Create and maintain assembly drawings, bills of materials, and product documentation.
- Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Support product design improvements, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving initiatives.
- Collaborate with quality, assembly, and supply chain teams on component specifications and documentation.
- Develop and maintain part numbering systems and nomenclature structures.
- Create assembly and testing procedures for production teams.
- Deliver product-related training and technical guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET).
- 2–4 years of relevant engineering experience within oil & gas, refinery, or industrial valve applications.
- Experience with one or more of the following products:
- Safety Relief Valves
- Rupture/Buckling Pin Devices
- Control or Dump Valves
- Regulators and Chokes
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation, calculations, and product applications.
- Proficiency in:
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP/MRP systems
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work on-site in the Oklahoma City area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI/ISA, ISO, and NACE standards.
- Familiarity with metallurgy and welding processes.
- Experience supporting upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas operations.
