We are currently looking for a German-speaking Business Development Representative to join our growing team in Barcelona. This hybrid/onsite role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from our Barcelona office and remotely within the city. You will be instrumental in driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and helping them address their challenges with our technology solutions.

Role Overview:
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to identify and create new business opportunities by reaching out to potential clients, specifically German-speaking companies, to present our technology solutions. You will be the first point of contact for new business prospects and collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure that leads are qualified and nurtured before being passed on to the sales team.
This hybrid position provides the flexibility to work both remotely and onsite in Barcelona. The company will equip you with all necessary tools, including a laptop and software. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Reach out to potential clients in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) using cold calls, emails, and digital platforms. Identify decision-makers, qualify leads, and generate new business opportunities.
- Consultative Selling: Use a consultative approach to understand prospects' business needs, presenting how our technology solutions can help them achieve their goals.
- Building Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, establishing trust and credibility to foster long-term business relationships.
- Market & Competitor Research: Stay updated on trends in the German-speaking market and technology industry. Use this knowledge to tailor your sales approach and spot emerging business opportunities. Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborating with Sales Teams: Work alongside Sales, Marketing, and Account Management teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment. Help transition qualified leads to the sales team and ensure a seamless handover process.
- Sales Strategy & Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, sales-qualified opportunities, and revenue growth. Balance high outreach volumes with maintaining high-quality interactions and client satisfaction.
- CRM Management: Keep accurate records of all interactions, sales activities, and progress in the CRM system. Provide regular updates on performance, lead conversion rates, and progress toward targets.
- Client Feedback & Process Improvement: Collect feedback from prospects and clients on their sales experience and work with the team to continuously improve lead qualification processes and client engagement strategies.
- Ongoing Learning & Development: Participate in training programs to enhance your knowledge of our technology solutions and sales techniques. Stay current with industry trends to continuously improve your skills.
Requirements:
- Language Skills: Fluent in German (C2 level) and English (C1/C2 level) for professional communication with German-speaking clients.
- Sales Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation, ideally within the tech or SaaS industry. Experience working with the DACH market is a plus.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Comfort in initiating conversations, building rapport, and negotiating with decision-makers.
- Consultative Approach: Skilled at understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions, while simplifying complex technology concepts for clients.
- Goal-Oriented & Results-Driven: Motivated to meet and exceed sales targets. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Tech-Savvy & Digital Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing, SaaS, and technology products. Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
