Our client who is a global leader in the insurance market, join them as an Accounting Controller specializing in Financial Consolidation. Based in Porto, Portugal, you will be part of a dynamic European Service Center, contributing to the Consolidation Department's mission. This hybrid role requires fluency in French and English, with a start date of June 25, 2026.

Requirements
- Must currently reside in Porto, Portugal.
- Mandatory experience with Financial Consolidation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or financial reporting.
- Fluent in English and French (minimum intermediate level).
- High motivation for automatization and efficiency gains, including strong Excel
- manipulation skills and applied programming.
- Knowledge of IFRS principles and norms, including those specific to insurance (e.g IFRS), 4 – IFRS 17 / IAS39 – IFRS 9), is an asset.
- Previous experience and knowledge in the Banking or Insurance industry is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Participate in quarterly IFRS closing activities, primarily for the French perimeter.
- Conduct second reviews of financial appendices.
- Perform analytical reviews of consolidated packages.
- Review financial assets (IFRS 13 Fair Value Measurement).
- Provide support for data quality issues within the Shared Reporting Space (Group's reporting platform).
- Engage with various departments on process improvement initiatives during interclosing periods.
- Report to the Head of Consolidation on assigned tasks.

- Gross Salary: €25,000 – €29,000 gross per year, plus €12 meal allowance per day
