Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer for our client who is operating in the oil and gas sector.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in related disciplines
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering
• In-depth knowledge of data warehouse modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical Data Models)
• Advanced knowledge and experience in the implementation of Data Warehouse, ETL, and BI architectures, concepts, and frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Proficiency in programming and data manipulation technologies such as Python
• Expertise in designing, developing, and managing real-time and batch data processing pipelines
• Experience in large-scale big data projects from ideation to implementation
• Knowledge of designing, building, and running large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines using data processing frameworks like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Storm, Spark
• Understanding of containerization concepts like Docker
• Analytical mindset with experience in executing analytical projects
• Ability to understand and assess statistical analysis and modeling
• Knowledge of BI reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects
• Strong skills in identifying opportunities for data restructuring
• Experience in requirement analysis, particularly in challenging and validating data capabilities and reporting requirements
