Data Science Assistant Manager

We are looking for an ''Data Science Assistant Manager''.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in analytics or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience managing teams of 4 or more.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and knowledge of another data science programming language (e.g., Python, R).
• Expertise in applying a variety of statistical concepts (e.g., regressions, A/B tests, clustering) to business problems, with a strong sense of when to adapt or combine approaches.
• Fluent in English.

Technical Skills:

• Data Science Proficiency: Solid understanding of data science concepts, including machine learning, statistical modeling, and data manipulation. Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R is essential.
• Big Data and Analytics: Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, HPE Ezmeral, Cloudera) and analytics tools is crucial for handling vast amounts of data.
• Database Management: Understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data pipelines is essential for effective data workflow management.
• Domain Expertise: Familiarity with insurance terminology, products, and industry-specific challenges across various types of insurance (life, health, property, etc.).

Requirements:

• Apply technical expertise in quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data presentation to develop strategies that address business challenges.
• Develop hypotheses using various analytical approaches, methodologies, and frameworks to test and refine them.
• Define and assess opportunities for product and business improvements, influencing road maps with insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform and execute strategic decisions.
• Identify and measure the success of product initiatives through forecasting and monitoring key product metrics to understand trends.
