Job Description:
Position: Executive Housekeeper
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all guest areas, including cabins, public areas, and crew quarters
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct inspections to ensure that all cabins and public areas are properly cleaned and maintained
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget
- Conduct regular meetings with the housekeeping team to review performance and address any issues or concerns
- Train and mentor new housekeeping staff members
- Handle and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping services
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping, preferably in a cruise ship or hotel setting
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship
