Job Description:
Commis Pastry - Cruise Ships
- Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing and baking a variety of desserts and pastries
- Follow recipes and ensure all ingredients are measured accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Assist with inventory and ordering of pastry supplies
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Continuously strive to improve and innovate dessert offerings
- Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Commis Pastry or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction from the Pastry Chef
- Food safety and sanitation certification is a plus
