Job Description:

Commis - Cruise Ship

- Assist the chefs in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts

- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality of dishes

- Help with the setup and organization of the kitchen, including stocking ingredients and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment

- Monitor food inventory and communicate with the chefs to ensure that all necessary ingredients are available

- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service

- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment

- Communicate any issues or concerns to the chefs in a timely manner

- Continuously strive to improve your skills and knowledge in the culinary field

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred

- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Willingness to learn and take direction from superiors

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
