Job Description:

- Conduct in-depth research on the history of life at sea, including maritime traditions, customs, and practices

- Collect and organize historical documents, photographs, and artifacts related to crew life at sea

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive archive of historical materials

- Create engaging and informative presentations, exhibits, and educational programs for crew members and guests

- Collaborate with other departments to incorporate historical elements into onboard activities and events

- Respond to inquiries and provide information about the history of crew life at sea

- Stay updated on current research and trends in maritime history and share this knowledge with the team

- Assist with the preservation and restoration of historical artifacts and documents

- Participate in the planning and execution of special projects and events related to crew life at sea history

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Maritime Studies, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a maritime or museum setting

- Excellent research and analytical skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to present complex historical information in a clear and engaging manner

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

- Knowledge of preservation and conservation techniques for historical materials

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Passion for maritime history and a desire to share it with others
