Job Description:
As a Galley Utility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ship's galley. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley, as well as assisting the chefs with food preparation and service. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential in providing high-quality meals for our crew and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized galley at all times
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Assist chefs with food preparation and plating
- Stock and rotate food supplies and ingredients
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the chef or management
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure smooth operation of the galley
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
