Job Description:
- Plan, prepare, and execute sushi menus for our guests on board the cruise ship
- Ensure the highest quality and presentation of all sushi dishes
- Manage inventory and ordering of all sushi ingredients and supplies
- Train and mentor junior sushi chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new and innovative sushi dishes
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and address any special requests or dietary restrictions
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our sushi offerings
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-volume restaurant or cruise ship setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of traditional and contemporary sushi techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
