Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and specialty drinks, according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
Ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency in beverage preparation, including proper espresso extraction, milk frothing, and presentation techniques.
Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences and menu offerings.
Operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers, with precision and efficiency, following safety and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar area, including workstations, equipment, and utensils, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
Uphold company standards for beverage presentation, garnishes, and branding, and ensure that all beverages are served in appropriate cups, glasses, or containers.
Provide friendly and attentive customer service, engage with guests in conversation, and address any questions, concerns, or special requests promptly and courteously.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in coffee preparation techniques, customer service best practices, and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in coffee preparation or hospitality is a plus.
Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role in a coffee shop, café, or restaurant setting.
Passion for coffee and a strong knowledge of different coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests of diverse backgrounds and preferences.
Attention to detail and accuracy in beverage preparation, including measuring ingredients, adjusting flavor profiles, and ensuring consistent quality.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively during peak service hours.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24/7 operation.
