Job Description:
Position: Chef De Partie
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner
- Train and supervise junior chefs, ensuring they adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure all food items are stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with company and industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
- Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and guest preferences
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to create new and innovative dishes
- Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times and provide excellent customer service to guests
- Continuously strive to improve and develop your culinary skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working at sea
