Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and presentation of all pastry and dessert items on board the ship

- Ensure all pastry items are of the highest quality and presented according to company standards

- Work closely with the Pastry Chef to develop new and innovative dessert menus

- Maintain a clean and organized pastry station at all times

- Monitor and control food costs and waste

- Train and supervise junior pastry staff

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards

- Assist with inventory and ordering of pastry supplies

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or cruise ship environment

- Culinary degree or equivalent experience

- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and methods

- Creativity and ability to develop new and innovative dessert menus

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and obtain necessary travel documents
