Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and maintain all sound equipment for performances and events, including speakers, microphones, mixing boards, and amplifiers

- Conduct sound checks and make adjustments as needed to ensure the best sound quality for each performance

- Operate sound equipment during live performances, ensuring all levels and effects are properly balanced

- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise with sound equipment during performances

- Collaborate with the entertainment team to ensure all sound and music cues are executed accurately and on time

- Maintain an organized inventory of all sound equipment and ensure it is properly stored and maintained

- Assist with the loading and unloading of sound equipment during port stops

- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating sound equipment

- Keep up-to-date with new sound technology and equipment and make recommendations for upgrades as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sound Technician, preferably in a live performance or event setting

- Strong technical knowledge of sound equipment and systems

- Proficiency in operating mixing boards, amplifiers, and other sound equipment

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

- Previous experience working on a cruise ship is a plus
