Job Description:
Position: Japanese International Host
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between Japanese-speaking guests and the rest of the crew
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
- Host events and activities for Japanese-speaking guests, such as cultural demonstrations and language classes
- Assist with translations and interpreting for guests and crew members as needed
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the company in a positive light
- Collaborate with other crew members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and crew members
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by the management team
Requirements:
- Fluent in Japanese and English, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with grace and professionalism
- Passion for travel and cultural exchange
- Must be able to commit to a full-time, 6-8 month contract at sea
