Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of incinerator systems on board our vessels

- Monitor and control the incinerator process to ensure proper functioning and compliance with environmental regulations

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the incinerator system

- Maintain accurate records of all incinerator activities, including waste disposal and incinerator usage

- Train and educate crew members on proper incinerator operation and waste management practices

- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times

- Coordinate with port authorities and regulatory agencies for proper disposal of waste materials

- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to incineration and waste management

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in marine engineering or related field preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Incinerator Technician on board a vessel or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of incinerator systems and waste management regulations

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to work in a marine environment and travel as required
