Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all surfaces, equipment, and utensils in the galley, following established cleaning procedures onboard the cruise ship
- Assist with food preparation and plating when needed
- Properly store and rotate food supplies to ensure freshness and prevent waste
- Assist with loading and unloading of food and supplies
- Dispose of waste and garbage in accordance with company policies and regulations
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
