Job Description:
Position: Commis
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards set by the company
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Collaborate with the team to create new and innovative menu items
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and dietary restrictions
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Commis or in a similar role in a professional kitchen
- Formal culinary training or degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
