As a Baker working on a cruise ship, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious baked goods for passengers and crew members. You will work as part of a culinary team under the supervision of the Executive Chef or Pastry Chef.

- Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized baking station, equipment, and utensils. Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines to ensure food safety.
- Menu Development: Contribute to the creation and development of new recipes, seasonal menus, and themed culinary offerings. Stay updated with current baking trends and techniques to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Presentation and Garnishing: Ensure proper plating, garnishing, and decoration of baked goods, considering aesthetics and visual appeal. Pay attention to portion control and consistency in portion sizes.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the culinary team, such as the Pastry Chef, Sous Chefs, and Cooks. Coordinate with other departments, including the dining room staff, to ensure smooth operations and prompt delivery of baked goods.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to junior bakers or pastry cooks. Share knowledge and techniques to maintain consistent baking standards and improve team skills.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any equipment malfunction or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
