Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Chief Refrigerator Engineer in maintaining and repairing all refrigeration and air conditioning systems On Board Cruise Ship

- Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts

- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration and air conditioning systems

- Repair or replace defective parts as needed

- Assist with the installation of new equipment and ensure it is properly connected and functioning

- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Train other crew members on proper operation and maintenance procedures for refrigeration and air conditioning systems

- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working onboard the vessel

- Keep inventory of spare parts and supplies and ensure they are properly stored and maintained

- Communicate any issues or concerns to the Chief Refrigerator Engineer and work together to find solutions

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with refrigeration and air conditioning systems, preferably in a marine environment

- Knowledge of HVAC systems and principles

- Familiarity with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including compressors, evaporators, and condensers

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to work long hours and be on call as needed

- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects

- Valid certifications and licenses as required by the company and relevant authorities
