Job Description:
Position Title: Stateroom Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor
Location: Onboard Cruise Ship
Position Summary:
The Stateroom Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional and personalized housekeeping services to guests by maintaining the cleanliness, order, and presentation of assigned staterooms and public areas. This role plays a key part in delivering the highest standard of comfort and hospitality, ensuring a positive guest experience throughout their voyage.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean and service assigned staterooms daily, including bathrooms, balconies, and living areas.

Replenish amenities and supplies such as towels, toiletries, and minibar items.

Make beds and change linens as required.

Ensure rooms meet company cleanliness and presentation standards before guest arrival and during their stay.

Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, preferences, and feedback.

Report maintenance issues or damage in staterooms to the appropriate department.

Assist with embarkation and disembarkation processes as assigned.

Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working condition.

Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures in accordance with onboard policies.
Requirements:
Experience:

Minimum 12 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality setting.

Cruise ship experience is advantageous but not required.

Previous experience with luxury service standards is a plus.

Fluency in Spanish or other European languages (e.g., Italian, French, German, Portuguese) is highly preferred.
Education/Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Housekeeping or hospitality training is preferred.

STCW and ENG1 (or cruise line-specific equivalents) required before embarkation.
