Job Description:
Demi Chef De Partie Pastry - Cruise Ships
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pastry Chef in creating and developing new pastry and dessert recipes
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and bread for our guests
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and other members of the culinary team
- Collaborate with other departments, such as the dining room and galley, to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Actively participate in menu planning and development
- Assist with ordering and receiving of pastry supplies and ingredients
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef De Partie Pastry in a high-volume, fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry and baking
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.
