Job Description:

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards onboard the cruise ship

- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner

- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques

- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving of ingredients and supplies

- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to create new and innovative sushi dishes

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations

- Keep track of food costs and assist with menu planning and cost control

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sushi Chef or Chef de Partie 2 Sushi in a high-volume restaurant or hotel

- Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and ingredients

- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Team player with a positive attitude

- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed

- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred
