Job Description:
1. Responsibility
1) Responsible for the workflow in the assigned service area and the related administrative work, in close cooperation with the supervisors.
2) Create a warm and inviting environment for our guests.
3) Responsible for being knowledgeable about all menu items and accurately taking and entering guest orders into the system, while ensuring a comfortable and genuine experience for the guest.
4) To have professional knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette, and to have knowledge of appropriate table layout, service utensils and menu items.
5) Provide attentive and individualized service to meet the immediate satisfaction of guest requests.
6) Set up, clean, and serve tables promptly after use to ensure that guests can be seated on time.
7) Clean, organize and maintain the designated service station and prepare a mise en place to ensure that the station is ready when needed.
8) Fulfil side duties such loading, luggage service, embarkation duties.
9) Complete knowledge of all menus presented to guests to answer guests' questions about ingredients.
10) Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and ship property used to complete assigned tasks.
11) Prevent breakage and loss of all equipment and use only authorised chemicals in an approved manner.
12) Always show respect for co-workers and co-operate with all management decisions.
13) Attends ship and departmental meetings as required.
14) Maintain a professional appearance to meet the Grooming Standards.
15) Participate in tasting food and beverages and attend all scheduled training and menu briefings.
16) Handle guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, always ensure guest satisfaction and ensure that guest complaints and comments are reported to management
17) Active implementation of the philosophy behind the product.
18) Knowledge of the assigned security roll number (from the ships articles) and the assigned duties in case of an emergency.
