Job Description:
Advanced Process Control Engineer
Location: Memphis, TN
Responsibilities:
- Implements and maintains APC applications on typical units and supports APC and similar advanced control applications and interfaces to DCS systems. Spends a significant percentage of time working onsite conducting pretests, step tests, inferential development, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operator training activities related to implementing APC applications.
- Designs implements, optimizes, and maintains Aspen DMCplus for new and existing process units. Includes pre-testing of units, making instrument recommendations, inferential sensor development, DCS loop tuning, control strategy improvement, step testing, model development, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operator/engineer training for the APC applications.
- Manages multiple parallel projects with a mix of site and contract resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or higher level degree in Chemical Engineering required.
- 5 years of control systems engineering experience in the refining or petrochemical industries, including extensive hands-on APC implementation experience required.
- Advanced Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
- All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
Salary Package:
$ 125,000.00 - 170,000.00 (US Dollar)
