About the Role

We have partnered with a leading Australian company specializing in a full range of fire services, including design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing of fire protection systems. Established in 2008, They are committed to Australian Standards, offering innovative and flexible fire protection solutions. They provide 24/7 emergency assistance and are fully licensed to test, install, maintain, and certify a wide range of fire systems.

As a Minor Works Estimator Position, you will be responsible for reviewing plans and project scope, counting and cataloguing necessary equipment, and inputting data into pricing spreadsheets. You will also be tasked with formatting quotes and cost estimates into SimPRO quoting software. The ideal candidate will have some understanding of fire protection systems and possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills as this role demand accurately assessing and predicting costs for small-scale construction projects, including site visits, material and labor cost analysis, and preparing detailed estimates for clients

No prior experience is neededfull training will be provided!

What you’ll be working on:

• Review project plans and scope of work for fire protection systems.
• Accurately count and itemise required equipment and materials.
• Input pricing data into Excel spreadsheets to generate cost estimates.
• Format and generate detailed quotes using SimPRO quoting software.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in all estimates and quotes.
• Collaborate with Senior Estimator and other Team Members to clarify requirements and ensure all aspects are accounted for.

• Strong attention to detail accuracy is key in compliance and reporting.

• Basic IT skills comfortable using computers and eager to learn new systems (full training provided!).

• Good with numbers able to check and interpret data for accuracy.

• Problem-solving mindset enjoys troubleshooting and learning new things.

• Curious and proactive not afraid to ask questions and improve processes.

• Organised and reliable able to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
