Our client is a global leader in sourcing, processing, and distributing palm, coconut, and other tropical oils. With operations that span plantations, processing facilities, and supply chains across key producing regions in S.E. Asia, the business partners with growers, refiners, manufacturers, and customers to deliver safe, sustainable, and high-quality ingredients. Its activities cover the full value chain, from agronomic expertise and traceability initiatives to innovation in food, feed, and industrial applications, ensuring both reliable supply and long-term value creation for customers and stakeholders worldwide. As part of a major ERP implementation project, they are seeking a Business Implementation Director (BID).

Job Purpose

The Business Implementation Director will effectively lead all business implementation activities, ensuring processes, data and information are established and streamlines for successful deployment of various new business initiatives. The main objective is institutionalizing tropical oils knowledge across supply chain, operations and agronomics, and trading intelligence that operations create and needs to be collected, stored and analyzed to generate value for both the business and the broader organization. The BID will partner with various functions and stakeholders, especially Digital, Technology & Data (DT&D), Process Excellence, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance and Manufacturing & Supply Chain (MSC).

The BID will also play a key, linking, role in enabling business infrastructure, leading the ERP project execution in tropical oils. This position will lead all critical path activities such as Planning, Scoping, and Execution across multiple projects and locations. Key elements of Business Implementation include Change Management, Coaching & Development, Leadership Alignment, Process Governance, Organizational Preparedness, Data Readiness and Technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION DIRECTOR

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the delivery of digital projects including pre-deployment work, deployment and post go live support through stabilization.
  • Coordinate and lead the end-to-end decision points on scope regarding the digital functionality and footprint.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies and plans across the program to ensure successful execution.
  • Prepare and drive the business to change both how work gets done and what talent is needed to sustain the change.
  • Lead the project review process by providing stakeholders relevant information to evaluate progress and agree on change and coordinate the deployment of project resources to ensure effective utilization.
  • Provide appropriate documentation and training to enable successful transition to business as usual.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 10+ years in SAP, with at least 1 full-cycle implementation as an Implementation Lead or Program Manager.
  • Hands-on experience with implementations, migrations and customizations in SAP (S/4HANA is highly preferred).
  • Implementation experience for agribusiness is a plus.
  • Experience in Commodity Management, Agriculture Contract Management, bulk logistics, and regulatory compliance systems is a plus
  • General SAP module expertise: Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, EWM, S/4HANA). In depth knowledge of FI/CO is preferred
  • Familiarity of agriculture specific modules like (CM, ACM, TRM, CTS) is a plus
  • Integration expertise: Ability to design and manage integrations with non-SAP systems (APIs, middleware like SAP PI/PO, CPI, or third-party connectors).
  • Customization vs. Standardization Decisions: Ability to push back on over-customization, while knowing when exceptions are necessary for current business models.
  • Confirmed ability to achieve compromise and conclusion in complex relationships within a matrix, and handle key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Business background with strong process and organizational skill set
  • Confirmed systems thinker able to understand how process, data, people and technology work in tandem to drive the business system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proven success delivering results on medium- or large-scale initiatives.
  • Fluent in Indonesian Bahasa and English
  • Experience leading enterprise resource planning deployment projects
  • Project management experience in a pure project management role
  • SAP certifications (module-specific or S/4HANA) and PMP/Prince2/Agile credentials are a plus.
